真题文字详解(英文)
Middle Primary Division - Solutions
1. The value of 48 - 25 is 23, hence (E).
2. The area is the length times the width, so is 2 × 7 = 14 square metres, hence (D).
3. Clearly, the largest 5-digit number will have the largest digit in the first position, and so the first digit must be the 7. The next largest digit is 1, and the next is 1, so the number is 71 110 and the order of the cards is QPR, hence (C).
4. Adding one tenth, one hundredth and two thousandths gives 0.112, hence (D).
5. (Also UP2) We look for two numbers, 2 apart which add to 8. These are 5 and 3, so Mary's team scored 5 goals, hence (C).
6. (Also UP3) The chance of a rabbit with spinner A is (\frac{3}{8}); with spinner B is (\frac{2}{4});
