真题文字详解(英文)
Upper Primary Division - Solutions
1. 101 - 2 + 1 + 102 = 202, hence (E).
2. (Also MP5) We look for two numbers, 2 apart which add to 8. These are 5 and 3, so Mary's team scored 5 goals, hence (C).
3. (Also MP6) The chance of a rabbit with spinner A is ( \frac{3}{8} ); with spinner B is ( \frac{2}{4} );
(A)
(B)
(C)
(D)
(E)
with spinner C is ( \frac{1}{4} ); with spinner D is ( \frac{2}{6} ); and with spinner E is ( \frac{1}{3} ). The largest of these is ( \frac{2}{4} ), hence (B).
4. As 1.5 L = 1500 mL, we have 1500 ÷ 250 = 6, and so 6 of these cans would be needed, hence (C).
5. The fractions ( \frac{1}{5} = 0.2 ) and ( \frac{1}{4} = 0.25 ) and the only number given which is between them is 0.21, hence (C).
6. The minute hand turns through 360° in an hour. From 2 pm to 4 pm is 2 hours, so the minute hand will rotate 2 × 360° = 720°, hence (E).
7. (Also MP9) Suppose Mary colours the hexagon shown red (R). Then the six hexagons sharing an edge with this one must be a different colour. She then colours the one shown green (G). Then there is the next hexagon which touches both the red and green
