真题文字详解(英文)

Solutions – Upper Primary Division 1. 17 + 20 = 37, hence (C). 2. There are 5 per kilogram, so 20, hence (B). 3. (Also MP6) Three out of the five dice showed a two on top, hence (E). 4. She spent 55 + 20 = $75, so her change is 100 - 75 = $25, hence (A). 5. (Also MP9) Only shapes 1 and 3 have five sides and therefore are pentagons, hence (D). 6. Naomi lives 3 × 4 = 12 km from school. Olivia lives 12 - 3 = 9 km from school, hence (A). 7. (Also MP12) Subtract the 73 and then add 37 to get the correct answer: 157 - 73 + 37 = 121, hence (B). 8. (Also MP13) The squares and triangles are worth 4 × 6 + 3 × 6 = 24 + 18 = 42 cents. Then the hexagon is worth 50 - 42 = 8 cents, hence (B). 9. Tumbler 1: 9 to 5 is 4 clicks back. Tumbler 2: 0 to 8 is 2 clicks back. Tumbler 3: 4 to 7 is 3 clicks forward. Total clicks are 9, hence (D). 10. The number multiplied by itself equals 100.
