INSTRUCTIONS
1. After the announcement of the start of the examination, you should first write your Candidate Number in the space provided on Page 1 and stick barcode labels in the spaces provided on Pages 1, 3, 5 and 7. 2. This paper consists of Section A and Section B. Answer ALL questions in this paper. 3. Write your answers for Section A in the spaces provided in this Question-Answer Book. Do not write in the margins. Answers written in the margins will not be marked. 4. Write your answers for Section B in the DSE(B) answer book. Start each question (not part of a question) on a new page. 5. Graph paper and supplementary answer sheets will be supplied on request. Write your Candidate Number, mark the question number box and stick a barcode label on each sheet, and fasten them with string INSIDE the book. 6. The Question-Answer book and the answer book will be collected separately at the end of the examination. 7. Unless otherwise specified, all working must be clearly shown. 8. Unless otherwise specified, numerical answers must be exact. 9. In this paper, vectors may be represented by bold-type letters such as u, but candidates are expected to use appropriate symbols such as û in their working. 10. The diagrams in this paper are not necessarily drawn to scale. 11. No extra time will be given to candidates for sticking on the barcode labels or filling in the question number boxes after the ‘Time is up’ announcement.

考生须知

1. 宣布開考後，考生須首先在第1頁之適當位置填寫考生編號，並在第1、3、5及7頁之適當位置貼上電腦條碼。

2. 本試卷分甲、乙兩部。試卷內各題均須作答。

3. 甲部的答案須寫在本試題答題簿中預留的空位內。不可在各頁邊界以外位置書寫。寫於邊界以外的答案，將不予評閱。

4. 乙部的答案須寫在DSE(B)答題簿內。每題(非指分題)必須另起新頁作答。

5. 如有需要，可要求派發方格紙及補充答題紙。每一張均須填寫考生編號、填畫試題編號方格、貼上電腦條碼，並用繩綁於簿內。

6. 完考時，試題答題簿及答題簿須分別交回。

7. 除特別指明外，所有算式須詳細列出。

8. 除特別指明外，所有數值答案須用真確值表示。

9. 試題雖用黑體字母如u表示向量，惟考生答题時應採用適當符號如ū。

10. 本試卷的附圖不一定依比例繪成。

11. 試場主任宣布停筆後，考生不會獲得額外時間貼上電腦條碼及填畫試題編號方格。

MARKING SCHEME

本評卷參考乃香港考試及評核局專為今年本科考試而編寫，供閱卷員參考之用。閱卷員在完成閱卷工作後，若將本評卷參考提供其任教會考班的本科同事參閱，本局不表反對，但須切記，在任何情况下均不得容許本科評卷參考落入學生手中。學生若索閱或求取此等文件，閱卷員/教師應嚴拒絕，因學生極可能將評卷參考視為標準答案，以致但知硬背死記，活剝生吞。這種落伍的學習態度，既不符現代教育原則，亦有違考試着重理解能力與運用技巧之旨。因此，本局請各閱卷員/教師通力合作，堅守上述原則。

This marking scheme has been prepared by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority for markers’ reference. The Authority has no objection to markers sharing it, after the completion of marking, with colleagues who are teaching the subject. However, under no circumstances should it be given to students because they are likely to regard it as a set of model answers. Markers/teachers should therefore firmly resist students' requests for access to this document. Our examinations emphasise the testing of understanding, the practical application of knowledge and the use of processing skills. Hence the use of model answers, or anything else which encourages rote memorisation, should be considered outmoded and pedagogically unsound. The Authority is counting on the co-operation of markers/teachers in this regard.
